Do you experience backaches, stiff shoulders, neck pain, tension headaches, or chronic medical conditions that result in pain and discomfort? If so, chiropractic care in Brampton at Physiotherapy First with one of our chiropractors could be the relief that you deserve.
What Is Chiropractic Care?
Chiropractic care is a form of non-invasive treatment that involves the manipulation of the skeletal, muscular, and other related body systems. It offers a natural healthcare approach for people who want to avoid unnecessary surgical procedures and prescription medications.
Our Brampton chiropractor take the time to evaluate each of our patients with a full physical examination to determine the best approach to chiropractic care. From there, a personalized treatment plan is developed that focuses on how to best alleviate your symptoms while simultaneously, addressing the underlying causes for your current condition.

How Are Chiropractic Treatments Performed?
Chiropractic treatments involve using manual manipulation with the hands to apply pressure, move, adjust, massage, and perform other such movements to perform the necessary treatment to the required areas on the body. Many people refer to this as an “adjustment” since the back, neck, and other skeletal structures are adjusted into the correct positions.
Chiropractic treatments can also involve the use of heat therapy, stimulation therapy, and other such methods prior to the adjustment to help relax and loosen tight muscles and soft tissues.
Can Chiropractic care Be Used with Other Non-invasive Treatments?
Yes, it is quite common to use chiropractic care with other non-invasive treatments such as massage therapy and physiotherapy. These other types of therapies complement the chiropractic care adjustments to promote faster healing and strengthening of the body.

Should Chiropractic Care Treatments Continue Once I am Healed?
In most cases, patients will continue their chiropractic care after they are healed. Initially, they received treatment to address their painful condition. As their bodies heal and become stronger, it is essential to continue treatment to reduce the risks of future injuries to the same location.
Additionally, ongoing chiropractic care is beneficial for proper body system functioning. Many of our patients notice they have more energy, sleep soundly, have less stress and anxiety, and feel better mentally and physically with ongoing chiropractic care treatments.
Are Adjustments Painful?
Adjustments are relatively pain-free in most cases. There can be some minor discomfort depending on the extent of the injury or chronic painful condition. However, our chiropractors will utilize their knowledge of the human body and its systems to use the best adjustment approach to ensure quality care for each of our patients.
How Fast Will I Notice Any Results?
Most people report a sense of relaxation after their chiropractic care treatments. They also notice their pain levels have subsided and are not as severe or intense as they were before treatment. For more serious injuries or severe painful chronic conditions, results will be gradual with marked improvements after each treatment.

How Long Are Chiropractic Care Visits?
The length of chiropractic care visits will vary from one patient to the next. It will largely depend on the treatment plan that has been prescribed. Typically, you should expect to spend about an hour or two during your initial visit and consultation.
If your treatment plan includes massage therapy, physiotherapy, and other forms of therapies, these can increase the duration of your visit. Your chiropractor will be happy to discuss the length of visits so you can plan accordingly.
